Existential Analysis

A path to meaningful living

What is Existential Analysis?

Existential Analysis is a therapeutic approach that focuses on helping you explore and navigate the fundamental questions and challenges of human existence. Rather than aiming to "fix" problems, it invites you to delve deeply into your life experiences, values, and choices to uncover what truly matters to you. It's about understanding your unique circumstances and finding ways to create a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and purposeful—even in the face of difficulties or uncertainty.

In this approach, we explore themes such as:

  • Meaning and Purpose: What gives your life direction and fulfillment?

  • Freedom and Responsibility: How do your choices shape your life, and how can you take ownership of them?

  • Relationships and Connection: What role do others play in your journey, and how can you cultivate deeper, more authentic connections?

  • Facing Challenges: How can you embrace life's struggles as opportunities for growth, rather than obstacles to avoid?

Existential Analysis is not about imposing a "one-size-fits-all" solution but about partnering with you to uncover your personal truths and values. It's a process of self-discovery that honors your individuality and helps you reconnect with the freedom and courage to live a life that aligns with who you truly are.

Whether you're facing a specific crisis, grappling with feelings of emptiness, or simply seeking greater clarity and fulfillment, Existential Analysis offers a supportive space to explore life's big questions. Together, we work to understand your experiences, embrace your challenges, and create a life that feels deeply meaningful—no matter what circumstances you face.

Who I work with.

My private practice welcomes individuals aged 15 and older who are seeking support on their journey toward greater clarity, fulfillment, and purpose. While I am experienced in working with a wide range of clients and presenting concerns, my practice is especially aimed at helping teens and young adults (ages 15-30) who may be grappling with significant life challenges or transitions.

If you are feeling lost, overwhelmed, or burdened by difficult emotions, I provide a safe and compassionate space to explore these feelings. My approach is particularly well-suited for individuals facing:

  • Feelings of purposelessness or aimlessness: A sense that something is missing from your life, but you’re not quite sure what.

  • Existential angst or dread: Deep questions about the meaning of life, death, and your place in the world.

  • Suicidal thoughts: Persistent feelings of hopelessness or a desire to find a way forward despite these struggles.

  • Anxiety: Especially social anxiety, which can make it difficult to connect with others or feel at ease in social settings.

  • Depression: A pervasive sense of sadness, emptiness, or lack of motivation.

  • Life stage challenges: Navigating the transition to adulthood, discovering your identity, or overcoming the challenges of independence.

  • Trauma: Working through painful past experiences, helping you process, heal, and regain a sense of safety and empowerment.

  • Terminal illness: Coping with the emotional and existential realities of a life-limiting diagnosis.
